PuraExtend® is a resorbable collagen membrane made from purified porcine dermis tissue, offering a balanced combination of strength, handling, and resorption. It provides long-lasting protection for approximately 6-9 months maintaining adequate barrier function. In some clinical experience the product was found to provide adequate barrier function even when the membrane was left exposed to the oral cavity. Tegaderm™ Brand transparent dressings can be used to cover and protect catheter sites and wounds, to maintain a moist environment for wound healing, and to secure devices to the skin.
