PuraExtend® is a resorbable collagen membrane made from purified porcine dermis tissue, offering a balanced combination of strength, handling, and resorption. It provides long-lasting protection for approximately 6-9 months maintaining adequate barrier function. In some clinical experience the product was found to provide adequate barrier function even when the membrane was left exposed to the oral cavity. In these cases without primary closure, the membrane supported healing as soft tissue covered the area within weeks, without signs of inflammation or infection.* Individual results may vary.
