- Slides easily onto the metal or disposable syringe tip
This variety of sponge
looks similar to the all-gauze variety with its cheesecloth-like outer layer,
but contains an inner layer of 100% cotton. This provides extra absorbency, as
well as additional patient comfort. The cotton-filled sponge is a traditional, reliable choice.
